Our Mission

At Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene, our mission is to Embody Christ, Engage Community, and Equip Believers.

Embody Christ. We want to look like Jesus in how we worship, how we love one another, and how we treat our neighbors.

Engage Community. We’re here for Leavenworth and the Upper Valley, not just on Sundays. From Light the Night to serving alongside partners like Upper Valley Mend and the Dwelling Place, we want to show up for the people around us.

Equip Believers. We help people take their next step with Jesus, through Life Groups, baptism, serving, and growing together in faith.

We Look Forward To Meeting You

What To Expect

When you first arrive, you'll be greeted by friendly faces that are excited to see you! Service begins with a mix of energetic and heartfelt worship played by a live band.

The scripture-based message will encourage and inspire you to come closer to Jesus. Feel free to worship however you feel comfortable.

If you have any questions along the way, our ushers and greeters would love to help you!

  • Worship Service

Thank you for choosing to spend an hour of your weekend with us at LCN. We have one worship service on Sundays: 10:00 am. We also livestream the worship service in its entirety.

  • What to Wear

We want you to feel comfortable. Whether that means jeans and a t-shirt, business casual or suit and tie. As long as you are actually wearing clothes, you will fit right in!

  • Parking

Our main parking lot is located behind the building. You can access parking from both Ski Hill Dr. and Prospect St.

  • Nursery

LCN provides a nursery designed and equipped to minister to children from birth to three years of age. Our loving and trustworthy caregivers and volunteers provide an atmosphere of love and laughter for young children so they may experience the love of Christ from the volunteers caring for them.

  • Children's Church

Our children's ministry volunteers lead children, preschool to 5th grade, into a real relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions! Our team intentionally invests in the lives of our children through worship, videos, skits, small groups, greeting, games, and more!

Our Beliefs

Part of the Church of the Nazarene
LCN is part of the Church of the Nazarene, a global Protestant denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Nazarenes believe God’s grace doesn’t just forgive us; it transforms us, making it possible to love God and others with our whole hearts. Our core beliefs are summed up in the denomination’s 16 Articles of Faith.

  • God
    1. We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    2. We believe that God has granted us the ability to choose between right and wrong, with its benefits and consequences.
  • Jesus Christ
    1. We believe in Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully human, who became like us to bring about our salvation.
    2. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and that, by trusting in Him, we can be restored to a right relationship with God.
    3. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again.
  • Holy Spirit
    1. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world through conviction, regeneration, sanctification, and the revelation of the truth in Christ.
    2. We believe that after being born anew, we need the fullness of God's Spirit in our hearts, and when we make a complete commitment to God, our hearts are cleansed and filled with His perfect love.
    3. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, carrying on His mission through the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Salvation
    1. We believe that when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is wiped clean, and we are born anew, thus becoming part of the family of God.
    2. We believe that each person must repent, turn away from sin, and trust Christ for salvation.
    3. We believe that we are all sinners by both nature and act and need God's forgiveness and cleansing.
  • Scripture and Sacraments
    1. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, giving us all we need to know about salvation.
    2. We believe in baptism and urge people to be baptized as Christians.
    3. We believe in the Lord's Supper.
  • Healing and Judgment
    1. We believe that God can heal and that we pray for healing, trusting that God can work through medical science.
    2. We believe that everyone will face the judgment of God with its rewards and punishments.
